I have been so excited for this wedding! Whitehall Manor is gorgeous! I loved all the details and personal touches they put into their wedding. Katlyn and Michael were married on July 2nd at the Church of the Navity in Burke, VA and followed with a reception at Whitehall Manor. We had a gorgeous day filled with laughter and so much joy. The sparks were filling with these two they are really the cutest! I loved everything about this wedding and by the end of the night I was dancing right along with them! Their Story:

How did you meet: We met when we both worked at Dogwood Tavern in Falls Church five years ago, I was a hostess and he was a server. He had to sneak me his number because all the staff knew my dad. We thought we were a super-secret couple on the down low, but everyone knew! Can’t hide a love like ours I guess 

The Proposal: Mike wanted to propose at Lake Barcroft by recreating our second date that we had there where we snuck onto the beach. But when we got to that area, the police were actually towing cars without beach tags so he needed a plan b fast! We ended up at Gravely Point by the airport (one of my favorite spots and another early date location). We were sitting on a towel eating ice cream, and I thought Mike was trying to distract me from thinking about my jaw surgery in two days but actually he was preparing to propose. He waited for a big plane to fly overhead and distract me, then he got on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. He will tell you that it took an eternity for me to say yes, but that’s because I was VERY surprised. Now two years later, I couldn’t be happier to marry my best friend – finally!
