When I first met Andrew and Jessica a year ago it was a busy wedding consult day and remember how much I instantly loved them. It was like being around two great friends and when they decided to book with me I was soo happy. I told Jessica this is my year of Jessica brides. When we did their engagement session at the Baltimore Harbor we started chatting about details of their wedding and since that day they’ve been one of my favorite couples to email and chat with. Not to mention they are dog lovers like me!!
I’d long been looking forward to their October wedding at the Dulany’s Over look in Frederick Maryland, I was praying the skies would clear for them and it did! We had the most amazing October day. From the minute I stepped into the bridal suite and was greeted with warm hugs and laughter by Jessica’s mom and her amazing Bridesmaids I knew we were going to have awesome photos. I LOVED the bridesmaid dresses and all of the details they put into their wedding. Jessica was stunning such a beautiful bride! It was such a charming venue and it fit Jessica and Andrew’s laid back personality. I truly enjoyed our little journey to this special day!
Their Story:
How did you meet: Andrew and I met in high school 11 years ago. We dated for a short period of time but broke up when he moved away to college. We remained the best of friends for years after and always were apart of each other’s lives. When Andrew moved to the DC area for work, I moved down a few years later with him. We weren’t even officially a couple but things just fell together, and we’ve been with each other ever since : ) Always marry your best friend!
The Proposal: Andrew proposed on a Saturday in December. It was my Mom’s birthday and we had planned for them to visit with my niece for an afternoon of ice skating. He had run to the store for me, while I quickly was getting ready. When he got back, I came out of the bedroom to find flowers on the table with a card. I was thinking how sweet he was for getting my Mom flowers. However, he told me they were mine. I opened it and my Dog (who I am completely obsessed with) came over with a note tied to his collar. It said “Will you marry, Dad?” It was the sweetest, most thoughtful way to ask. We’re a low key couple and it meant so much that he made it so personal and between our little family. Plus, I got to celebrate with my entire family that night!
